Advocacy and Consulting Services

Ascend provides special education advocacy and consulting services to families. Ascend is not a law firm, and Nicole MacNeil is not acting as an attorney or providing legal representation.

Educational advocacy may include reviewing educational plans and records, helping families understand the IEP or 504 process, preparing for meetings, attending meetings with families, and assisting families in communicating concerns and requests to school teams.

No Client Relationship From Website Use

Visiting this website, submitting an inquiry form, sending an email, calling or texting Ascend does not by itself create a client or consulting relationship.

A professional relationship begins only after Ascend and the family have mutually agreed that Ascend will provide services and any required service agreement has been completed.

Initial Inquiries and Confidential Information

Please do not submit confidential educational records, medical records, evaluations, IEPs, 504 Plans, or other sensitive documents through the website’s initial inquiry form.

If Ascend needs to review documents in connection with a potential or existing engagement, instructions will be provided regarding how those materials should be submitted.

No Guarantee of Results

Every student, school district, educational plan, and situation is different. Ascend cannot guarantee any particular outcome, service, accommodation, placement, eligibility determination, or other result.
